Our Story

Bliss Contracting (formerly know as Bliss Demolition) has been in operation for nearly 30 years on the New South Wales Central Coast.

From the first owner 10+ years prior to the original Mr & Mrs B taking over in 2000, Demolition & Asbestos Removal was the main stream business gig although Bliss still used our own trucks and machinery it wasn’t a stand alone business venture. Bliss also had our own Recycled Building Materials Yard, ran by the famously upbeat Mrs B. The Yard and Mrs B were much loved by a vast majority of the Peninsula community.

Mr B Junior took over the business in 2008 to carry on with Demolition & Asbestos Removal. He maintained and grew new and old relationships with Central Coast contractors placing him at the top of their call list for all Demolition, Asbestos Removal and Excavation work.

As the Originals “got on a bit”, Mr B Junior found a Mrs B Junior to take on the challenge of the Recycle Yard and all the behind the scenes moving parts of the business. Mrs B Junior had big shoes to fill but she did her best.

At the beginning of 2017, Bliss said goodbye to the Peninsula and made the move up the hill to Somersby- Recycle Yard and all. Wide open spaces and a brand new range of clientele. Business thrived and new opportunities arose to be able to steer away from just Demolition & Asbestos Removal. In June 2021, Bliss engaged another super human to open our Float Division using his plethora of experience in the industry and extensive machine operation capabilities.

During 2023 Mr & Mrs B Junior made the difficult decision to steer further away from Demolition & Asbestos Removal and focus harder on Excavation & Heavy Haulage. This subsequently saw the closure of the Recycled Building Materials Yard at the end of that year – with small amounts of Demolition work, the yard would no longer be sustainable.

So here we are, 2024. Now operating as Bliss Contracting, offering Excavation, Tipper Hire, Heavy Haulage as well as Demolition & Asbestos Removal Services to the Central Coast and beyond. The occasional retaining wall, site clearing and road enhancements have also been added to the repertoire for Bliss Contracting making them an all round one stop shop for so many clients.
